Bavarian Single Home Studies

architectural studies, inspirational script for a Bavarian family
Datum

Ort
Germany Bavaria
I felt this place to be a marketplace for exchange and mutual support. It is the beautiful tradition of Bavarian lifestyle to hang out together and face things as a family. So this place had to be a wide open spot while still keeping all chances to withdraw. The huge ceramic tile stove is built in south German tradition, to the center of the house. The ground floor expands from the entrance hall to the cube like dining place that connects to the garden - winged by a big kitchen on the left and a same size lounge on the right. Cobble stone changes to end grain flooring and the walls to guest room, the office and the houseroom contain enormous wood notches that spread a smell of nature and give the place a outdoor like feel. Off course everything has its place in the right spot like the herbs next to the kitchen and the storage where you need it. A small bathroom wall to wall to the technic room makes the ground floor complete.
You rub your eyes when entering the level1 zone! Here is variability all. The kid open up their spaces to one big maze of rooms and ways or they withdraw into privacy, just as they love it. A kids dressing room right above the technic area, to where the laundry drops, keeps the rooms free of big cabinets, and a play isle around the center includes the toys and the technic kids want. The architecture here is way pathing to communication and mutual support. Homework is done on a big table and toys are there for everyone. This thinking helps children to learn to share and take care of each other. Plus it takes workload off of parents.
The parents bedroom extends into a baby room, that later in time then can be changed to any kind of privacy room for grown ups or just become a huge wardrobe for the First Lady.
Of course the bathroom fits into the shape of the level like a glove.
The garden, the garage/shed combo, the fencing aso.....there is a lot of brainwork in these sketches!
